Removing and Replacing Media Cartridge

Important Notice:

After replacing the media cartridge, open the Particle Sense app and navigate to the sensor’s page. Once there, press “Replace Sampling Media” and select the condition of the cartridge. If you are installing a partially used media cartridge follow the Installing a Partially Used Media Cartridge instructions.

Replace Sampling Media

If you notice that your sensor has not began sampling again after swapping the media cartridge (i.e. the fan is not running once you close the lid), remove the sensor from power and plug it back in. This will reboot the sensor and have it begin the sampling service again.
