Site Assignment

The Particle Sense mobile app acts as your companion to help operate your APS-400 Sensor. It is required to have the app downloaded to your mobile device in order to properly set up and manage your sensor. Download the app here:
Apple App Store: Particle Sense app
Google Play Store: Particle Sense app

Instructions:

1. Once you have installed the Particle Sense app, login using your portal.pollensense.com credentials.

2. Once logged in, you will see a list of sensors that have been added to your Organization. If you are not the Organization Owner, you may only see a limited list based on the permissions the Organization Owner has granted you.

If you do not see the sensor you wish to manage in this list, contact your Organization Owner or Pollen Sense Support via email to support@pollensense.zohodesk.com

3. Select the sensor you wish to have assigned to a Site.

    b) Otherwise, simply select the Site you wish to add the sensor to and enter any additional requested information. Continue to Step 13.

6. Select the “Create New” option.

7. You will be taken to a map displaying your current location. This should be where you plan to have the sensor deployed for the collection period. If you need to adjust the location, do so by moving the red pin to your desired location.

8. With the correct location selected, press “Create Site Here.”

9. You will be asked the Usage Type to associate with the sensor. Outdoor Ambient is our recommended default setting for a sensor set up to run outside. If you plan on using another option, please send an email to support@pollensense.zohodesk.com with a description on how you plan to operate the sensor and they will help you decide the appropriate Usage Type.

10. Once the Usage Type has been selected you will be prompted to name your Site, provide a short description, and report the height above the ground at which the sensor is deployed. If stationing a sensor on top of a building or similar structure, please also include its height in your estimate for the sensor’s height above the ground.

11. Once all the information above has been entered, press “Review.”

Ensure that Collect Samples is toggled to On once physically stationed at the Site. The sensor will then begin to update the Site with the data it collects while stationed there. To view the Site data, you must do so via Portal.
